Long Beach Unified School District

View in Khmer

The Long Beach Unified School District will require all staff to provide proof of vaccination or participate in weekly COVID-19 testing when school starts this year.

The requirement is part of a community wide effort and commitment to maintain the health and safety of 菠菜网lol正规平台 staff and students.

菠菜网lol正规平台 continues to partner with the Long Beach Health and Human Services (LBHHS) to offer vaccines to all employees, students and families who wish to be immunized. Staff, students (ages 12 and older) and family members can receive vaccinations at various community clinics in partnership with LBHHS.

For more information on available clinics, visit longbeach.gov/vaxLB. Electronic flyers with updated clinic details will continue to be emailed to families and posted on individual school websites.

As previously announced, school starts Tuesday, Aug. 31 for most students. The district will offer full-time, in-person instruction. Health and safety protocols implemented to prevent the spread of the coronavirus are summarized in a brief Family Guide to School Opening (View in Spanish/Khmer).

Exceptions to the Aug. 31 start date include the Sato Academy of Mathematics and Science, along with the California Academy of Mathematics and Science. Both Sato and CAMS start Wednesday, Aug. 18.
